Little Leaf is a new online literary journal giving a voice to new, emerging, and established writers. We publish prose, poetry, and pieces that cross the boundaries of genre.
Whether you have an anthology’s worth of published work or just began your writing career, Little Leaf is looking for you. We want to see your best writing, your most experimental, your most honest
As a small, independent, newly established journal, Little Leaf aims to provide a response within one week of submitting your work. We also currently charge no reading fee.
Please review our submission guidelines before sending us your pieces.
Some background on our editor-in-chief—Sarah McLaughlin is a graduate of Providence College living in Massachusetts. Her work has been published in Sigma Tau Delta Rectangle, The Alembic, and The Cowl, where she served as editor-in-chief from 2022 to 2023. Little Leaf is a passion project.
Our favorite poems make use of rhyme, meter, assonance, and consonance in unique ways, even within free verse. Our favorite short stories are told from underrepresented, undervalued points of view. While we love literary fiction, elements of sci-fi, romance, dystopian, and historical fiction are always welcome, too. We also adore prose poetry that toes the line of what counts as each.
We look forward very much to hearing from you and reading your work.
Sincerely,
Little Leaf Literary Journal
